WEBAPP BASIC FUNCTIONALITY

Desktop & smartphone.png

Accessibility
The WebApp works on any modern browser available on most operating systems (Android, iOS, iPadOS, Windows, macOS, Linux, etc). Its use requires a fast, stable internet connection.

It is accessible via a link which is provided (along with your username & password) after the sale & installation is completed.

To login, enter the link into your browser and enter the username & password that has been provided.

For ease of use it is recommended that the link be bookmarked in your browser, the username and password can also be optionally stored in the browser.

Once logged in, the user would be presented with the live view mode (described below).

Note:- On larger smartphones, the map area will not cover the entire screen after a login. Simply use an expanding pinch motion in the whitespace outside of the map to expand as needed.

Live-view mode

In live view mode the current position of the tracked assets are indicated, along with the assets name (these can be user-defined), information about the location, speed, direction as well as a timestamp for this info. The live view can show a single asset or multiple assets simultaneously.

Customers with multiple assets/fleets can decide how they want the devices grouped together, e.g. one login per asset to display one asset at a time, grouping according to department or region, or one login to track all devices simultaneously. Combinations of these groupings can also be set up to suit the user's needs.

There are three types of icons that would be seen in the live-view mode.

Type 1. Blue Diamond - Indicates that the device has not been in motion for a period of time (typically 3 minutes and 40 seconds).

Type 2. Blue Arrow - indicates that the device has been in motion. The direction of the arrow on the map indicates the direction of travel.

Type 3. Green Diamond - indicates that the device has lost GPS signal and is operating in failover tracking mode. The location shown is an indication of the general area/town/part of a city that the device is in and is typically accurate to within a few hundred meters.

Info control
In live view mode, when set as 'INFO: ON' the location, timestamp, etc is constantly displayed on the map.

When set as 'INFO: OFF' only the device name is displayed along with the status icon and the rest of the information is hidden.
